| Need a Tax Deductible Donation? |
|
The AAP-CA3, a non-profit 501(c)3 is able to accept book money for sites and provide a tax deductible receipt. Sites that do not have this non-profit status can have donors send a check to the AAP- CA3 indicating that this money should be set aside for a particular site. After purchasing books sites can send us an invoice which we will deduct from their account. Or sites can participate in bulk book buying with the collaborative and use the money in their account. There is no charge to sites for this service.

Progress Report Due October 3, 2008
Late Submissions Will Not Receive Books
6 month ROR progress reports are due October 3rd
with January through June 2008 data. As you recall,
due to a decrease in Federal Funding, National ROR
has changed their site sustainability operating
procedures. Each site that submits their progress
report on time will receive book shipments from
Scholastic- 25% of the books needed to operate
ROR. Sites will no longer receive funds deposited in
their Scholastic account.
National ROR explains progress reporting this
year, "You may have noticed that the October 3rd
deadline for Progress Reports is much later than it
has been in years past. Because we need to give
Scholastic the Essential Value Pack sustainability
orders with time for processing, collating, and
shipping, this deadline will be a firm one: sites that
submit after this deadline will not receive books from
National."
National ROR has sent out an email to each site
regarding progress reports. This current progress
can be accessed at www.myror.org. Past
progress
reports can also be accessed on this site and can be
referred to when completing the current progress
report.
Book donations provided by RORSD have been
entered on the progress report under #8 Fundraising-
Dollars awarded by your coalition. These include
donations in the last 6 months made by RIF, Nordson,
CECO, and Brooke Foundation. To determine the
number of books divide the value by 2.75. If you have
any questions or need assistance
contact Tara Milbrand at tmilbrand@san.rr
